FA Cup
Every FA registered team can compete in the Cup but only Football Leage team automatically qualify – though lower league clubs need to have competed the in the previous year’s tournament and have a suitable stadium. All Premier League and championship clubs do not enter the comepetition until the third round.

In the 2009-10 season 762 football clubs registered to play in the FA Cup, which has increased greatly on the 660 clubs in 2004-05.

The current is the fourth one produced for the competition. The second one was an exact replica of the first and was used until 1910. The third trophy looks exactly the same as the current one, but was deemed too fragile to be used after the 1991 final. Interestingly the oldest actual national trophy is the Scottish Cup.

Many games in the FA Cup are hard to call, as it is famous for ‘giant killing’ performances where lower league teams beats one that is ranked much higher in the league rankings. Alot of football bets can be won when backing the smaller team.
